Cross-Tabs

It uses categorical values to determine differences but does not determine if differences are significant.

Chi-Squared Test

This examines the frequencies for two categorical variables to determine whether the variables have a significant relationship. To perform a Chi- Squared test, you’ll need to calculate the observed and expected frequencies. 

Correlation

Refers to how the amount of change in one variable is systematically associated with a change in another variable. A correlation coefficient of +1 indicates a perfect positive correlation, while a correlation coefficient of -1 indicates a perfect negative correlation. A correlation coefficient near 0 indicates no correlation.

Regression

This is where one or more variables are used to predict or forecast the level of another by use of the straight-line formula. There are two types of regression, Bivariate regression, and Multiple regression. Bivariate regression is where only two variables are analyzed, while Multiple Regression uses more than one independent variable.
