Tips for Your Music Landing Page

Your music marketing campaign will get the attention of your superfans and your potential superfans. To draw your fans to you, you’ll need to meet them where they are. The best way to do this is through a music landing page. A music landing page is a dedicated page that brings your fans directly to your message which could be, new music, an email list, branded merchandise, or your youtube page. These landing pages are normally used to generate performance and conversions for your music marketing compaign.

Let’s break it down.

Tips for creating a Conversion-Focused Landing Page

Tip #1 – Create a clear call to action

Whether you want your fans to download your latest track, watch your latest music video, or sign up for your email list, it’s important that you make it very clear that that’s what you want them to do.

Tip #2 – Eliminate Distractions

This tip goes hand and hand with tip number one. Dont give your fans too many options on one page or your fans will become confused, which will result in them not taking action or taking an undesirable action. For example, if my goal is to receive views on my latest music video, my landing page should not have the option to read my blog and purchase merchandise. My landing page should only take my fans to my latest music video.

Tip #3 – Have a consistent design

It is important that you keep a consistent design throughout your ad and your landing pages because you want to limit confusion for your fans. if your fans click on your landing page and see something completely different than what your ad showcased they will immediately think they clicked the wrong thing and will exit the page.

Conclusion

There are many examples of good and bad landing pages. Use your favorite artist as an example. Here are a few of my favorites right now. Rihanna’s landing page through Instagram showcases her new single and where to stream it. Drake’s landing page through Instagram showcases an upcoming show at the Apollo theatre that fans can win tickets to. Lastly, Beyonce’s landing page through Instagram shows fan-created reels of her new single.

Landing pages will help you obtain traffic to a particular area of your website, allows you to control the experience your fans have with connecting to you, and allows you to build brand awareness. Uses them to engage with your fans and increase your conversions.
